Story[]
Prologue[]
After having been tranquilized, Ryu Hayabusa slowly wakes up and finds himself locked in a jail cell. The girl who shot him earlier opens up the jail cell from outside, noticing that the anesthetic is wearing off. Despite Ryu asking who she is, she asks him to do a favor: to take a statue resembling a demon and escape from the Outpost. Confused, Ryu asks again who she is and if she really did try to kill him, but she tells him to hurry before someone catches them.
Act II[]
After having been let go by that girl, Ryu's goal is to escape with the statue in his possession. The jail cell he was thrown into is part of the Outpost, an underground construction site that was seemingly abandoned. However, the gang members from before had occupied the area just as he was freed, forcing Ryu to slash his way out. Leaving the Outpost and going outside, Ryu sees why he was taken here: the rustic Death Valley is well-hidden off the radar, but there was a new gang defending its grounds. During his trek through, he stumbled into the sacred Amura's Altar and was ambushed by Bomberhead.
Epilogue[]
After killing Bomberhead, Ryu swiftly escapes enemy territory. While rushing to Dr. Smith's location, he ponders over his unanswered questions: What is this bizarre statue? And who was that woman? Growing more suspicious, he starts worrying if Smith is only a "supposed" acquaintance, but continues, anyway.
Trivia[]
- This is one of two Acts that does not have a Time Freeze, the other being Act 5.
