Burabura are lantern daemons in Ninja Gaiden 4.
Description[]
A daemon resembling a lantern that can be found inhabiting a wide range of locations. It takes its name from the "burabura" yokai due to its similar appearance.
This variety of daemon has the ability to create flame using the toxic fumes found throughout Tokyo, and, by sensing changes in atmospheric temperature, will attack any who set foot in its territory. Due to its noxious flames, its burns are extremely slow to heal and can quickly become lethal if not tended. They are also known to create large explosions by igniting the stores of toxic miasma amassed inside them.
Their relatively large numbers and tendency to group together have made them a troublesome and destructive pest. The Divine Dragon Order sends strike teams to weed them out whenever a nest is found, often resulting in casualties.

Burabura are first encountered in Chapter 3: Phantom Pleasure Quarter second part Pleasure District area. They can be usually found in Fuuhaku Sanctum.
When Yakumo and Seori team up to break the Dark Dragon seals in order to purify him, Yakumo heads to Sky City Tokyo's Pleasure District to break the first seal. Inside Pleasure District, while chasing Kitsune Courtesan, he encounters several Burabura for the first time. While going for the second seal in Fuuhaku Sanctum, Yakumo encounters and defeats even more Burabura.
