Cetus is a large shark-like fiend in Ninja Gaiden 4. Cetus is a boss who guards the third Dark Dragon shrine in Drowned District. Yakumo faces it in Chapter 10: Bounding Spirits. Ryu faces and subdues it in Chapter 15: Fanged Gate, while Seori makes him the warden of the shrine.

An enormous shark-like fiend from the underworld. It was subdued by Seori and guards one of the Dark Dragon shrines.
It has the ability to create gates connecting dimensions, and on rare occasions appear in the human world to devour the souls and bodies of the living. The souls of those who have fallen to the underworld resent and envy those in the human world, and can coalesce to form this beast to prey on souls, as much out of malice as it is to increase the number of their own kind.
Due to being strengthened by the hatred and fusion of so many dark souls, it possesses great power even when compared to other fiends, particularly if further empowered by resentment when on the verge of death. The way it viciously lashes out at those who provoke it is surely evidence of the survival instinct remaining in the myriad of souls that comprise it.

Cetus has been living in the Drowned District. Needing a powerful being as a warden, Ryu and Seori head subdue him. As Ryu finds him, he manages to defeat it, allowing Seori to cast a spell on him and make it the warden of the shrine.
Years later, when Seori and Yakumo end up in the Drowned District, Cetus swallows Seori and runs away. As Yakumo starts chasing it, Cetus jumps from a dimension to dimension trying to lose Yakumo, but without avail. Eventually Ryu corners it and Cetus attempts to run away again, but Ayane breaks its interdimensional gate, forcing it to stay and fight Yakumo. Yakumo then defeats it and saves Seori. With the warden gone, Seori and Yakumo then break the shrine's seal.
