Chapter 2: Haunted District is the second chapter of Ninja Gaiden 4. The chapter takes place in Sky City Tokyo.
Synopsis[]
After cutting his way through an elite D.D.O. commander, Yakumo continues ahead to the Dark Dragon seal. Awaiting him lies a warped city filled with twisting rails and phantasmic interferences. Even against the forces of the supernatural, Yakumo unflinchingly proceeds with his mission.
Story[]
After destroying the second pylon, Yakumo heads over a bridge, but it collapses, causing him to fall deeper into Tokyo's District, where the daemonic influence is stronger. Finding a new path, Yakumo proceeds towards the next pylon. He uses the train rails to move faster, however the daemon uses its power to bend the rails and change Yakumo's path.
Proceeding on, Seori explains that the daemons are mythical beings that mostly exist on sacred grounds and can be from a lesser spirit to a demigod. She hunted down one of the most powerful daemons in Tokyo and made them the protectors of the Dark Dragon Shrines.
Using the rails again, Yakumo finally manages to reach the third pylon, where dozens of D.D.O. Soldiers await him alongside a D.D.O. Proto-Goliath. After neutralizing them, Yakumo proceeds and destroys the third pylon.
Collectables[]
- Purgatory Gate: You will reach a section where Yakumo will see a Security Drone and comment it may be useful. The game will also teach you to use Caddis Wire on the drones and then attack. After clearing the area and climbing up, you will see some wide stairs with two flying drones and a DDO Soldier with a cannon. Instead of going up the stairs, head left of them, where there are some blue containers. Behind them you will see a pipe. Hop onto it and it will lead to a dead end with the Purgatory Gate.
- Black Scale: After the Purgatory Gate, you will be back at the blue containers. This time, head up the stairs and kill the soldier. Another one will show up after him. After that you will need to jump on a rail, however, instead before you have to jump, look on your left. There will be a small dead end with a box containing a Black Scale.
- Gourdy: After a broken bridge and a large door that opens after defeating all enemies. You will be in a room with Umi and Tyran's shops. After that you will use the Flying Bird technique to climb up. On top you will open the door and will be on a broken bridge with yellow lines. After that hop on the rail and it will lead you to a room with Umi and Tyran's shops. In that room, up in the right corner is a Gourdy.

- Execute the D.D.O. bodyguards: After a longer rail session, you will end up on a broken bridge with a large closed door at the end. After defeating the enemies, the door will open and there will be a DarkNest Terminal and Tyran behind it. There you will have to use the Flying Bird technique to climb up. As soon as you climb up, you will see a door in front, ignore it and turn around. In a small room there will be a smaller door. Go through it and follow the path. At the end, you will find a group of soldiers you need to kill.
