Crystal Skulls are Key Items in Ninja Gaiden II that increase your Karma points earned. In Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, and Ninja Gaiden II: Black, they give you a discount at Muramasa's Shop instead.

While absent from Ninja Gaiden 3, they make a return in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge as the access points to Tests of Valor. They also appear as Collectibles in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound.

Details[]

A human skull carved from solid crystal.

It is said that these are scattered throughout the world, waiting
for one worthy enough to find them. Legends say that when
all are gathered together, a fearsome yet wonderful event takes
place, but none know what that event shall be. Some say the
skulls bring unimaginable wealth, while others say they curse
the owner to bear the sins of mankind.[1]

Overview[]
