Trivia[]
- Although Bladedamus is for all intent and purposes a twisted street thug criminal mastermind imagining of Nostradamus's descendant, he also hearkens to the "Sword Interval" depiction of the Kali Yuga or the Buddhist "end of days", where it is believed that man's devolution at its nadir will see "all men be born with swords in their hands", and believing each other instead to be irredeemable savages, "shall prey upon each other like sport".
- The Cult of Nostradamus may have been inspired by the controversies and questionable nature of the Japanese Buddhist-Christian hybrid cult Aum Shinrikyo or Aleph, which by 1989 were becoming known for their exploitative practices and fervent beliefs in the coming of the apocalypse rooted in Nostradamus's prophecies.
