The Divine Dragon Order, or D.D.O. is an organization of volunteers who effectively rule over Tokyo, currently in a state of chaos due to the resurrection of the Dark Dragon. D.D.O. has two divisions: a political branch headed by a woman named Uga and a military branch headed by a man named Kagachi.
Their military headquarters is Dragon's Maw in Tokyo.
History[]
Several years ago, a powerful fiend and a mysterious priestess attempt to resurrect the Dark Dragon, however they are stopped by Ryu Hayabusa. However despite that, the Dark Dragon's husk remained, brimming with immeasurable power and from it an endless downpour of cursed rain fell upon Tokyo. Blighted miasma flooded Tokyo, rousing the hordes of the underworld and transforming the desolated city into a living hellscape. To prevent a repeat of this calamity, the Divine Dragon Order who had seized control over the city, worked with Ryu to seal away the husk of the Dark Dragon.
By utilizing the personal connections of these two leaders and consolidating the resources remaining in Tokyo, the organization has a level of economic and military influence unusual for a private firm. They continuously conduct research in various scientific fields, and by analyzing the movements of a certain ninja, they have developed armored suits that allow even low-skilled soldiers to perform at superhuman levels. These suits have become a vital asset in the protection of Tokyo.
Despite the organization's benign nature, in this current state of emergency, they are quick to enact harsh punishments on any who disturb the order, leading to increasing discontent among the citizenry.
Plot[]
Ninja Gaiden 4[]
Divine Dragon Order gets infiltrated by Yakumo, who frees and takes Seori with him. Kagachi attempts to stop them, however they manage to escape him. Kagachi then informs Ryu Hayabusa about the situation.
Guided by Seori, Yakumo heads into Sky City Tokyo to break the seal of the first shrine in order to free and purify the Dark Dragon. His first goal is to break a trio of pylons to take down the power network and leaves the shrine defenseless. Knowing what he intends to do, D.D.O. sends soldiers to stop him, however they all fail and Yakumo manages to break the seal on the first shrine.
Yakumo then heads to Fuuhaku Sanctum for the second shrine. D.D.O. sends units after him, but again they are unable to stop him and he manages to break the second seal. Kagachi then arrives with Ryu. Kagachi takes on Misaki, while Ryu faces Yakumo. However Seori interferes allowing Yakumo to escape with her.
After Yakumo breaks the third seal, he heads for the fourth seal which is in D.D.O.'s headquarters in Dragon's Maw. D.D.O. sends many units, including a combat vehicle, but they are no match for Yakumo, who keeps on proceeding deeper into the Dragon's Maw. Before reaching the shrine, Kagachi stands in Yakumo's way. Yakumo manages to defeat him, but doesn't finish Kagachi, and then proceeds to break the fourth seal. With the Dark Dragon reborn, the remaining D.D.O. forces are busy fighting the spike of fiends, until Yakumo manages to defeat the Dark Dragon and purify him.
