The Ice and Magma Caverns are a location in Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) and its remakes. It's a set of underground caves that go throught Zarkhan with one section covered in ice and freezing temperatures while the other is filled with lava and insufferable temperatures.
Description[]
Ryu heads to the underground caverns after defeating Doku in the Zarkhan Arena. Once there he ventured through the caverns, fighting many giant fiends on his path to find the Dark Dragon Blade.
The caverns are accessed through a hole in the ground leading to the ice part. The ice part is narrow with frozen holes leading deeper underground. There is a wall separating the ice part from the magma part, with an industrial looking mold machine between them. It's likely that the magma caverns were used by Vigoorians. After the shield of Vigoor is placed the player can access the Magma part. Here Galla fiends rise from the lava.
This part is slightly trickier to navigate. In the center hall is a door leading the Hall Fire Dragon which requires to be opened with the eye of ice (Acquired by beating Yottunfrau) and eye of fire (acquired by beating the Fire Worms).
In the Hall Fire Dragon resides Smaugan, a giant dragon of fire who guards the statue of Devil.
