Ilcanis are wolf-like Fiends appearing in Ninja Gaiden 4.
Description[]
A relatively small four-legged fiend, with crystallized miasma protruding from its body, as is typical of beings that inhabit the underworld.
Its behavior, resembling that of a wolf, is characterized by moving in packs shared with members of its own blood. Each pack has a strict hierarchy with an alpha serving as leader. In the case of an alpha's death, the next highest-ranking pack member may take on the role.
It attacks primarily utilizing its barbed fangs. After biting a target, it will attempt to lacerate their flesh by violently shaking its head. Note that its bite is much stronger than of a normal wolf, and it is unlikely for anyone caught within its jaws to escape alive.
