Kitsune Courtesan is a courtesan fox daemon in Ninja Gaiden 4. Kitsune Courtesan is a boss who guards the first Dark Dragon shrine in Sky City Tokyo. Yakumo faces her in Chapter 3: Phantom Pleasure Quarter. Ryu faces and subdues her in Chapter 16: Downpour, while Seori makes her the warden of the shrine.

A daemon subdued by Seori to guard one of the Dark Dragon shrines. Appearing as a courtesan with a fox's ears and several tails, her elegant appearance both infatuates and terrifies those she encounters.
She has nearly endless power within her domain and can create material illusions which grow more threateningly defensive the closer they are in proximity to her, even erupting into explosive flames.
An amalgamation of the souls of escorts who died in the vicinity, she manifested due to the miasma raining upon the city. The core of her being is the cursed parasol she holds, once the property of a courtesan who met a tragic and untimely end. Although the parasol seems to hold faint fragments of memories from her mortal life, she is incapable of actual communication, and all she bewitches will experience a swift death.

Kitsune Courtesan has been living in the Tokyo's Pleasure District. Needing a powerful being as a warden, Ryu and Seori head subdue her. As Ryu finds her, he manages to defeat her, allowing Seori to cast a spell on her and make her the warden of the shrine.
Years later, when Seori and Yakumo team up to break the Dark Dragon seal and purify it, Yakumo heads to break the first seal guarded by Kitsune Courtesan. Feeling that he is coming, the Kitsune Courtesan starts affecting the world around him, trying to lead him away or slow him down. Yakumo persists and eventually encounters her at the gates of the Pleasure District. He defeats her, but as he enters the Pleasure District, he realizes he only defeated her mere copies. The Kitsune continues to try and block Yakumo's path, however he eventually reaches her. He then defeats her and together with Seori, they break the first Dark Dragon seal.
