Name | Lizard Mountains |
Debut | Ninja Gaiden |
Lizard Mountains is the location of Act 3-2 in Ninja Gaiden. Ryu traverses this area in continuing his chase of the thief who stole the Shadow statue. The NES version has a very icy, cold-blooded design, whereas the PC Engine has a more typical mountain-esque look.
At the end of Lizard Mountains, is the location of Act 3-3, Yomi's Cave.
Ninja Gaiden[]
Lizard Mountains also only has one room, but the layouts are more hill-like with ups and downs, narrow platforms, and layered split pathways. There are also a ladder and board sticking out to give some extra maneuvering. The most challenging bit is at the end, where a Bird tries to intercept Ryu mid-jump. The item containers take the form of small eagles/parrots.
Enemies[]
Valuable Pickups:[]
- Windmill Shuriken - After a couple of jumps over pits, this is located high above the first Banshee.
- Art of Flying Firewheel - There is a lower pathway underneath some platforms. It leads to a dead end, but it does have this sub-weapon at the end.
- Windmill Shuriken - In the section with Birds + Bazuka Soldiers, it is located above a lower ditch, which should have no enemy inside of it.
