The Masked Agent is a supporting character in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. She is a CIA agent who was sent by Irene Lew to disrupt the compromised CIA operation in Japan.
History[]
After Kenji Mozu and Kumori gather the Energy Crystals that are needed to open the gate to the Underworld, they are ambushed by a CIA Agent whom Kenji met earlier. The CIA Agent's forces subdue the fused ninjas and imprison them at sea. As Kenji and Kumori are fighting their way out of confinement on the ship, the Masked Agent arrives and calls off the guards by telling them that she will handle the situation.
The Masked Agent reassures Kenji and Kumori that she came to free them. She explains that the CIA operation in Japan has been compromised and that agent Sea Swallow sent her as a messenger. She tells Kenji and Kumori to go to Uraga Port to find the truth. Kenji is initially skeptical but believes the Masked Agent after she mentions that Ryu Hayabusa trusts Sea Swallow and that he has faith in Kenji.
Kenji and Kumori escape the ship and infiltrate the CIA base at Uraga Port, where they learn the agency is trying to use demonic power to create supersoldiers. In a secret laboratory in Yokohama, they confront the CIA Agent, who ignores their demands to give back the Energy Crystals and leaves. Later in the same facility, Kenji and Kumori find the Masked Agent gravely wounded. She says that they came too late to save her, but reveals that the CIA Agent has fled to the Special Night Transport Express, a train that goes to Mount Fuji. She says that they may still be able to board the train if they proceed immediately. Following her advice, Kenji and Kumori leave the Masked Agent to her presumed death.
