Mountain Trial is the S-3 mission in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. The stage takes place in East Mount Fuji and is the Secret Ops equivalent of 3-2 A Perilous Descent. This is the first Secret Ops stage where players control Kenji Mozu and Kumori after their fusion. Its difficulty is specified in-game as 3 out of 5.

The Ninjas venture into the mountain to slay any remaining demons and test their new form, proving the power and precision of their combined skills.

Scarabs[]
- Scarab x3: At the start turn left and after a bit you will climb, then head right. After a bit, there will be a gear you need to hit to turn. There will be a triple scarab past it on the ceiling.
- Scarab x3: After the first Cyclops Demon, you will drop down to a checkpoint. Turn left and crawl into the hole to enter a small room with a triple scarab.
- Scarab x3: Right after the previous scarab, continue right from the checkpoint and get on the ceiling, another triple scarab will be placed a bit up after the ceiling ends. You can jump to the left wall to reach it.
- Scarab x3: After entering a cave, you will reach a Cyclops Demon and sore fireballs being show upward right after him, then will need to go down. At the bottom, break the wall on the left and in the next room use the Demon Altar. Now continue going left with Kumori and at the end you will reach a triple scarab.
Crystal Skulls[]
- Crystal Skull: You will reach your first Cyclops Demon, who stands past a small wooden bridge, from you need to drop down to continue. Instead, continue past the demon and crawl into the hole. This will lead to a small room with the Crystal Skull on its end.
- Crystal Skull: From the first Cyclops Demon, you will go down and reach a checkpoint. Continue to its far right and you will go up. Now continue a bit to the right and you will need to jump from a platform to a platform. The Crystal Skull will be on the right side of the middle square rock platform.
