Obsidrae is a fiend who appears in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. She was send by the Demon Lord to obtain the Crystal of Twisted Paths on the Miura Coast. She is one of the four guardians that serve the Demon Lord Jagäzk, and is the boss of the stages Ancient Pirate Cave. She returns as the second boss of Endless Struggle.

History

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

Jagäzk sends Obsidrae to recover one of the Energy Crystals, Crystal of Twisted Paths. Obsidrae finds the crystal in the sea cave on the Miura Coast. She notices that Kenji Mozu is coming and tries killing him with her tentacles. However, Kenji and Kumori manages to avoid her tentacles and reach her.

Obsidrae tells them that they are late as she already have the crystal. Kenji however states that he planned on killing her regardless if she had or not the crystal. Obsidrae states that she is amazed on how easily the humans find themselves in unwinnable situations. Obsidrae ends up being no challenge to the two, as they defeat her and take the crystal.

Abilities and Powers

• Projectile Attack: Obsidrae has two projectile attacks: Bouncy Ball and Energy Ball. The Bouncy Ball is a purple ball that bounces off the ground at it hits it. The ball can be destroyed and sometimes can provide a Hypercharge. The Energy Ball is a blue-white one, that upon hitting the ground will create and energy wave on the ground on. You will need to jump to avoid being hit by the energy wave.
• Slash: Obsidrae will raise her hand, do a small charge and then slash in front of her. You need to move away from her when she raises her hand and it stays up. The slash leaves an afterimage that continues to deal damage for a few seconds.
• Tentacle Summon: Obsidrae can summon a tentacle at any location on the ground. There are a two tentacles: Melee and Projectile. When the tentacles is about to appear, a small "bump" will appear on the ground and it will then emerge from the ground. The tentacle can be destroyed, if not it will keep shooting bouncy projectiles.
