Rhyvashi is a fiend who appears in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. She is one of the four guardians that serve the Demon Lord Jagäzk, and was sent by him to the Black Spider Clan HQ in order to invite them to Kû no Tani. She is later also sent to obtain the Crystal of Command in the Ancient Capital, Kamakura. She is the boss of the stages Midnight Assault and Construction Site. She returns as the third boss of Endless Struggle; in the boss rush, her attack patterns are the same as in Construction Site.

History

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

Rhyvashi leads an attack on the Black Spider Clan HQ. After dealing with the demons, Kumori heads to the top floor to check and report to the leaders. While she speaks with them, Rhyvashi opens a portal and steps out, noting that she didn't think it will be that easy to dispose of the Black Spider Clan's leader. Kumori takes Rhyvashi and manages to overpower her. Seeing her power, Rhyvashi is impressed and notes that she would be a good ally. Before leaving, Rhyvashi invites Kumori to meet the Demon Lord at the Kû no Tani if she wants to raise the clan from its ashes. The Black Spider Clan discusses it and decides to send Kumori.

Kumori reaches the Kû no Tani on Mount Fuji. Rhyvashi comments that she took her time to come, but before she can meet the Demon Lord, she must see if she is worthy. Rhyvashi then summons a horde of demons. After a tough fight, Kumori manages to defeat all the demons, but Rhyvashi then strikes her with lightning, weakening Kumori. Rhyvashi then tells the Demon Lord that Kumori is ready. Jagäzk then appears on the other side of the portal and notes that Kumori looks delicious. Kumori wonders what is happening as she came to strike a deal, but Jagäzk comments that it still amuses him that humans think they can be on the demons' level and then reaches out through the portal and grabs Kumori.

Jagäzk orders Rhyvashi to gather and charge the three Energy Crystals, and also send out Deikrag and Obsidrae, as he wants the Veil completely open before the full moon.

At Kamakura, Rhyvashi sees that Kenji Mozu is looking for the Crystal as well and attacks him several times. Eventually, Kenji and Kumori find a temple that was unburied from the excavation. Rhyvashi also shows up there and is surprised to see that Kumori managed to escape the Kû no Tani by merging with Kenji. Kumori wants to take on Rhyvashi, but Kenji assures her that he can feel her rage and that her struggles are now his struggles as well and they will both take on Rhyvashi. The two then defeat Rhyvashi and obtain the Crystal of Command.

Abilities and Powers

• Lightning Bolt: Rhyvashi will charge a lightning and will bring her hands down to create a lightning ball. A lightning strikewill then attack Kenji where he stands. As the lightning hits the ground it will create two small lightning balls that each head towards the screen walls. Usually there are two lighting strikes one after another. You need to keep on moving to not get hit.
• Lightning Rod: Similarly to the Lightning Bolt, Rhyvashi will charge a lightning, however she won't bring her hands down to create a lightning ball. She will create two lightning rods at random locations, which will then hit the ground. The rods can be destroyed and can provide a Hypercharge. If not destroyed quickly, they will attract a Lightning Bolt.
• Dash Attack: Rhyvashi will dash through the screen from one side to the other, while slashing everything on her path. You need to jump up and use Guillotine Attack boost if necessary to avoid her hits.
• Big Lightning Bolt: Rhyvashi will teleport a bit further behind (she will become a bit more purple/blue) and start charging a big lightning. While she charges, boulders will start falling along with Lighting Bolt attacks. As the last boulder falls, it will stay on the ground and you need quickly to get behind it to take cover. Her attack then will cover the entire screen, but if you are behind the boulder, you will be fine.
