The Spider Aya Ninja (地蜘蛛妖忍, Earth Spider Phantom Ninja) is an Enemy in Ninja Gaiden 3 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge.

Techniques

• Flame Column: creates a vertical column of flame directly under Hayabusa.
• Projectile Attack: shoots a fireball.
• Teleport Attack: appears directly under Hayabusa slashing with his sai.
• Throw Attack: grabs Hayabusa at close quarters.
• Five-hit Combo: swings his sai five times. Final hit Guard Breaks.
• Kamikaze Throw: once disarmed, teleports near Hayabusa to grab him and explodes. (Razor's Edge only)

Throw Techniques cannot be blocked, unless stated otherwise.
Red Techniques can be countered with Steel on Bone in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge.

Strategy

• If left alone, they will provide constant support to other foes with their long range attacks, so prioritize taking them out.

• Aim your jump at them with Wind Run (Quick Attack + Jump), then launch them on landing with a 360° Strong Attack into a quick Izuna Drop (Quick, Quick, Quick, Strong Attack) and finish them off with an Obliteration Technique (Close to a Near-Death Enemy — Strong Attack) to gain a substantial amount of Ki.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge

• With the Level 2 Lunar Staff, use the (Quick, Quick, Strong, Strong, Strong) combo string to disarm them. Then finish them off with an Obliteration Technique (Near a wounded enemy — Strong Attack).
