The Talismans of Rebirth (魂返の護符, Tamagaeshi no gofu^?, lit. "Soul-Returning Talisman") is a Health Item in Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, first appearing in Chapter 1: The Way of the Ninja.

It makes a return as an Enchanted Charm in Ninja Gaiden II, first found in Chapter 4: A Captive Goddess, and in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, and Ninja Gaiden II: Black, first obtained in Chapter 6: The Aqua Capital.

Details

A talisman said to resurrect those who carry it.

The talisman's effects trigger automatically when its possessor
is mortally wounded, although it reportedly disintegrates after a
single use. Proponents of the talisman speak of miracles, and
many trust in its power. Crafted deep within the sacred caves
below a secretive Shinto shrine, the talisman prevents the bearer
from descending the Yomotsu Hirasaka, the slope that divides the
land of the living from the land of the dead. The bearer of the
talisman is thrown back among the living with a good amount of
health and Ki restored.

Overview

Brings Hayabusa back to life with a full Health and Ki gauge. Up to 3 can be carried at any time, but the maximum capacity is decresed to 2 on the Very Hard and Master Ninja difficulty levels.

In Ninja Gaiden II, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, it needs to be equipped first and only one can be carried at any time.

  • Appears in a container atop the balcony after defeating all the Basement Flies in the Test of Valor within the Cavern Passageway.
  • Appears after defeating all the Ghouls (Rifle) in the Test of Valor within the Drawbridge Square.
  • Appears after defeating the Doppelganger Fiend (Vigoorian Flail). (Very Hard only)

Trivia

• It is not worth equipping it for a Test of Valor, as the Yellow Essence obtained through the challenge can better cover the cost of Herbal Remedies than of the Talisman itself.
