Tsukumo are large urn-like daemons in Ninja Gaiden 4. There are two type of Tsukumo: Kettle and Fish.
Description[]
Kettle[]
A type of "tsukumogami" daemon, born from the stray thoughts of man hat have amalgamated inside a worn-out tea kettle, transforming it into a living being. The face is a manifestation of the locals' tales of tanuki residing in their thoughts.
Perhaps due to its rough treatment as a kettle, it shows no sign of compassion for humans and will attack vigorously. An intense fire burns withing its body, allowing it to shoot flaming projectiles from its mouth or top. It has exceptionally precise aim and is able to unleash relentless barrages when positioned on high ground. Owing to its heavy metallic origins, its body is extremely sturdy and heavy, and any unlucky enough to find themselves pinned beneath one of these creatures will be crushed to a bloody pulp.
Fish[]
A type of "tsukumogami" daemon, born from the stray thoughts of man that have amalgamated within worn-out ironware. Despite having the appearance of a fish, it avoids water to prevent rust.
Although it changes its habitat at regular intervals, once it chooses a residence, it will remain for a considerable period of time. It is not known to pursue targets, but is highly territorial, launching toxins at intruders that can cause paralysis and neural damage, often resulting in coma or death. There is no antidote for a daemon's poison, making this creature far more dangerous than its appearance would suggest.
